To be ALIVE!

Three years earlier, terrible cancer nearly took me from this Earth. A year of terrifyingly powerful chemotherapy, massive radiation, and painful surgeries...I lost hope, but survived anyway. The experience changed me.

To now be able to live out the dreams of my childhood, to feel the universe sing to me, to still walk in beauty upon this loving planet, to kiss my wife, to love my children...To be alive...and in Japan!

Sheesh...What more could a soul ask for? You know, the effects of that illness were, in the end, liberating. I now feel as though I'm floating inches above the ground. Living has became a wonderful gift. Life seems effortless.

Turning up a grassy pathway, the sign that appeared before me said it all. It was to set the tone for the rest of my journey.
